On 5th November 2025, our team came together for our much‑loved Annual Gathering — a tradition that allows us to pause, reflect, and celebrate the year gone by. As most of us work remotely, this day is a rare and valuable chance to connect face‑to‑face, share experiences, and strengthen the bonds that make our organisation thrive.
This year’s theme, Harmony & Renewal, invited us to reflect on how we work together under our new Relationships Service name, and how we can continue building a culture of collaboration.
A Gentle Start
The day began with refreshments and a warm welcome from our Chair of Trustees, who set the tone for what lay ahead. To help us centre ourselves, our counsellor Doreen guided us through a calming meditation session — the perfect way to step into the spirit of renewal.
Open Space Conversations
Our CEO, Ewan then facilitated an Open Space format, where groups formed to explore key questions about our work and future direction. These conversations sparked fresh ideas and gave everyone a voice in shaping how we move forward together.
Chair Yoga & Wellbeing
Wellbeing was woven into the day, with another of our counsellors – Steffi – leading us in Chair Yoga. This light, accessible practice reminded us of the importance of balance — both physically and in the way we work.
Singing in Harmony
In the afternoon, we welcomed choir master Hugh Beckwith, who led us in learning songs and singing together. The experience of blending our voices was a joyful metaphor for harmony in the workplace — different notes, one shared rhythm.
A Sweet Ending
No gathering is complete without something delicious. We closed the day with handmade cake made by counsellor Rosanna, a simple and heartfelt way to send everyone home with smiles and full hearts.

Our Annual Gathering is more than just an event — it’s a reminder of the values that guide us. This year, Harmony & Renewal encouraged us to embrace change, nurture wellbeing, and celebrate the collective spirit that makes our organisation strong. We look forward to carrying this energy into the year ahead.
