Embracing Wellness: Hertfordshire County Council’s Wellbeing Event on 9 October 2025

On Thursday, 9 October 2025, Hertfordshire County Council hosted a vibrant and inspiring wellbeing event that brought together community members, health professionals, and local leaders to champion healthier living across the county. Held at the Hertfordshire Development Centre in Stevenage, the event was part of the council’s ongoing commitment to promoting public health and community safety.

Colleagues at The Relationship Service were delighted to be invited to attend and showcase our range of services, and we were especially pleased to reintroduce the charity following our recent rebrand and name change from Relate LNWHMTB. Our services include:

  • Psychosexual Therapy (Sex Therapy) & Sex Addiction (Compulsive Sexual Behaviour)
  • Family Counselling

  • Young People’s Counselling (11-18yrs)

💬 What the Day Offered

Attendees had the opportunity to:

  • Engage in conversation about available workshops on stress management, nutrition, and mindfulness.
  • Explore local services and resources through information stalls and networking sessions.
  • Sign up for group activities like yoga, guided walks, and specialised gym sessions.

🤝 Building a Healthier Hertfordshire

The wellbeing event wasn’t just about information—it was about action. Council members emphasised the importance of collaborative efforts between public services, voluntary organisations, charities like The Relationships Service and residents to create a more resilient and health-conscious community.
