Our CEO, Ewan Malcolm, has announced that he intends to step down from his role at the end of March 2026 and plans to develop a more plural career, including multi-party mediation and conflict resolution.
Ewan has led our centre for nearly 12 years and in that time has successfully guided us through major changes and developments, including mergers with other centres, the challenge of the pandemic years and the creation of the new Relationships Network. He is an outstanding CEO and leader and he will be greatly missed.
In announcing his decision Ewan said:
“As our organisation, once again reinvents itself, building on eighty years of remarkable heritage, we need new ideas and fresh energy. It is also, I believe, a good time for a new Chief Executive.
In March, I indicated to our Chair of Trustees Phil Waller that I intend to step down from my role as CEO once a successor had been recruited.
I expect to remain in post to ensure a smooth transition and handover when the new CEO starts work, probably in the new year. There will be time to say goodbye then.
Meantime, my commitment is to continue to work as hard as I can to ensure that our organisation thrives, delivering excellent relationships support to people who need our help in an accessible and sustainable way.”
The Trustees have engaged a professional search firm to ensure that we secure the best possible candidates and the process of recruiting a successor is well under way.
